Kirino's group 6 victory can't be this unsurprising, but Kurisu of Steins;Gate has emerged as yet another formidable dark horse. Saten remains powerful, despite receiving minimal airtime. Azusa is still strong, but is clearly showing returning champion fatigue. Voting volume was lower than round 5's, suggesting that last year's Azusa fans took a tea break.
Leonmitchelli of Dog Days finished 19th, qualifying only for the second preliminaries and revealing that Dog Days lacks the faction strength to follow up Milhi's group 1 performance. Ume-sensei (18th), the avatar of real-life mangaka Ume Aoki, will also be in the second preliminaries along with K-ON background classmate Tachibana Himeko (20th).
