This group is mostly weak, but it has a few big names. Elsie, Menma, Laura, and, of course, Kaname Madoka. It goes without saying that an assassination attempt will be staged against Madoka, but her potential opponents in the first two rounds are weak and provide little raw material to work with. The other Madoka also got a weak pair of opponents, but Koumoto Madoka, despite sharing the same first name and initials, would need magic and miracles to survive. Her opponents are minor characters: Rebecca has minimal screentime and characterization, and Seraphim comes from Kore wa Zombie, which has been disastrous in saimoe. Maybe I'll just flip a coin when it's time to predict that match.
8/25 Coverage:
Ruka Urushibara vs Kagura vs Ingrid Sorveig Sorgrims should be a contested match. Ruka is incredibly moemoe... on the rare occasions when she isn't a boy. The genderswapping thing could cause her support to wither like the "vote" of an unsuspecting suitor. Kagura made it in through the first preliminaries. Ingrid's show has been performing better than expected, but she's not the Rie-powered Lotte, so she had to struggle through the second prelims. Therefore, Kagura is the prediction.
Eclair is the definite favorite in her match. She's not against Hideyoshi. Repeat: That is not Hideyoshi; put your pants back on; it's just the sister with the bad attitude.
Elsie totally outclasses her opponents and can't lose. Yes, I'm jinxing it and daring saimoe: I can already see the ending, and she has a 100% chance to win.
Results: Ingrid, Eclair, Elsie.

8/26 Coverage:
Tomoe Wajima gets the pick over Mio Isurugi due to Hanasaku Iroha's series strength. Even though 2ch is full of masochistic fetishists, Iroha has been outperforming consistently. Hercule is simply more moe than her competitors. Menma is Menma, so a loss for her would be a big upset.
2ch went down, so this match was postponed to a later date.
9/2 Coverage:
The match took place on 9/2. Mio Isurugi won, teaching me a lesson about underestimating the masochism fetishes of 2ch. Hercule and Menma won safely.

8/27 Coverage:
Madoka's match begins! 2ch is running the scheduled match instead of redoing yesterday's cancelled one.
Since the match is already underway, it's a bit late for predictions, but I expected a clean win for Madoka despite an assassination attempt, while Sae and Run survive due to weak opponents. Ringo is from Ookami-san and the second prelims, so she won't get the attention some people say she deserves. Sae performed poorly in the prelims, but Hidamari Sketch always has fans, so the question is whether anybody cares to vote for Hotori. Current in-progress results suggest that somebody does, and Hitori is leading 63-47.

8/28 Coverage:
Laura of IS is simply too popular for her opponents. Sanya is the stronger of the two strike witches in play today, and Mimi is cannon fodder despite the split and her Rie voicing. The third match is harder to predict. Becky is a minor character who was presented as the plain, mundane alternative to adorable dog girls. Madoka Koumoto is a second preliminary qualifier from a show with no faction strength. Seraphim represents Kore wa Zombie, which has put in such an abysmally wretched, shameful performance this year that I simply can't expect a victory from her. Therefore, to pick someone for this match, I rolled dice. Seraphim came up as the prediction.
Final Results: Laura, Sanya, and Madoka.
